While Corlew and Perry is celebrated as the premier hardwood flooring company in Nashville, our commitment to providing comprehensive solutions means we expertly handle all flooring needs. Thanks to the expanded vision established by L.C. Perry and Charles Armour, we offer top-tier laminate, Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP), and Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) that are perfect for spaces where natural hardwood isn't practical.
These non-hardwood options have evolved far beyond basic utility—they are now design-forward, highly durable, and incredibly versatile, making them ideal for specific residential and specialty commercial applications beyond the typical office setting.
Versatile Applications for Modern Flooring
1. Kitchens, Bathrooms, and Mudrooms (LVT & LVP)
The primary drawback of hardwood is moisture sensitivity. LVP (Plank) and LVT (Tile) solve this with their 100% waterproof construction.
LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank): Perfect for achieving the look of hardwood in moisture-prone areas. It creates a seamless aesthetic that flows from a dry living room into a wet kitchen or basement, making it the top choice for homes with pets or active children.
LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile): Excellent for replicating the look of natural stone or ceramic tile without the coldness, fragility, or challenging installation. Ideal for bathrooms and laundry rooms.
2. Finished Basements and Walkouts (LVP & Laminate)
Basements require flooring that can handle fluctuating humidity and potential moisture from the subfloor.
LVP/LVT: Due to their waterproof core, these are the safest choice for below-grade applications where hydrostatic pressure is a concern.
High-Quality Laminate: Modern laminate has dramatically improved its moisture resistance and provides a sturdy, affordable, and visually appealing option for playrooms or media centers where the budget is tighter.
3. Specialty Commercial & Athletic Support Spaces
While we install and maintain hardwood gym floors, non-hardwood solutions are perfect for supporting areas:
LVT: Ideal for locker rooms, medical offices, break rooms, and hallways that see constant chemical cleaning and heavy foot traffic outside of the main court.
